Recent Work Nearing Completion

These are from a series of about 18 paintings covering 6 images.

study for ‘Stationary Girl No.2'
The subject of this image (in two versions) is an almost freakish kind of serenity,
with a woman who feels that she doesn't need any thing or to have any destination.

‘Sad Nature' (unfinished)
oil on canvas, 16 x 20

study for ‘Stationary Girl No.1'
oil on paper, 14.5 x 11

‘Stationary Girl No.1 (nocturne)'
oil on canvas, 24 x 18

study for ‘The Traveler and The Travel' (which on canvas is a diptych)
This one makes me laugh, the way it came out. There's lots of ideas in there, yet it was mainly prompted by the notion of interpreting who a person is as a self versus who someone is as defined by what they are/are not doing (p/p/f). There is, at large, possibly an interchangeability of these two forms of identity (which are very contrasting in nature).
